Sunday: family zoom, grocery run
Apr. 19th, 2020 09:40 pmR. got a bike ride. I had a walk with M.
We had a family zoom (R.’s family, mostly his sisters and mother, but other family members poked their heads in as well). We learned that his niece was having trouble getting a grocery delivery, and was running low, so after we determined that it was more / different than we could readily supply out of our house, R. went to the store, then drove over to their house. They are only about a half hour or so away, so no big deal. Nice to be able to help out!
A. did some TypeTastic. She also tried Zombies Run on the treadmill, but concluded that BitGym was more fun so we switched her over. One over her ankles was bugging her, and she was fine barefoot, so we retired those shoes, got her a better pair from downstairs, and then I went and ordered 2 more pair because they are all looking worn.
I make RKTs. I have not done that in a while, but there was a nearly empty thing of rice krispies, and a mostly empty bag of marshmallows, and I figured I could clear some pantry space. I also dumped the remaining spelt into the bin on the mill, cleaned the container, and transferred the brown sugar into it, from two separate smaller containers.
I had an omelette for lunch, with some of the sage sausage, the kale and part of a tomato. I had a side of hash browns. That was nice. For dinner, I finished off the extremely garlicky sunbasket chicken braise, mixed in with the allium free chicken braise from a couple nights ago. We finished off the torta rolls from Costco; we have lots of other bread and someday soon white flour will arrive and maybe I will bake some white bread.
Tomorrow is a school holiday. I have talked to A. about reading the email from her teacher that arrived tonight, and looking over the week’s learning plan. I think she could probably get a bunch of this week’s school done, but maybe she will not be interested.
I have been reading about WBE (wastewater based epidemiology). It is pretty cool.
