Thursday: swimming, McDonalds
Jan. 16th, 2020 11:00 pmToday was A.’s half day. I did get a walk and visit with M. in the morning, tho, because she had stayed home from her volunteer job to keep an eye on the dogs.
I took A. to swimming, where she struggled a bit and the instructor chatted with me after. It is exactly the kind of thing that is why we have A. in one-on-one lessons with someone who is accustomed to dealing with rigidity and perfectionism and random freakouts. I am so happy that this is working; I feel like the instructor was a little traumatized by it, because A. has been really good so far. But you know, you ask just a bit more than she can do, and this is what you get — not unlike me, really. And there is not a lot of warning, either.
A. had water stuck in her ear, and that distracted me enough that I forgot to stop at McDonald’s so we went to the one in Acton instead. Which was fine. They have totally renovated it since the last time I was in. Sort of weird, but good. Same employees I remember, for the most part., altho we use the kiosks now.
