Happy Boxing Day!
Jumanji was excellent. We split up after and went our own ways. I had a great phone call with K. Her whole family is super excited to put together the Hogwarts Castle.
T. threw up in the middle of the night. He was fine after that. Best theory is that he should not drink diet ginger ale with aspartame in it, but it could have been him sticking his fingers in his mouth a lot and picking up random stuff somewhere.
Anyway. We got down to the Washington Monument. BIL figured out that Reagan Building was a poor choice for parking, given the plan to go to the Spy Museum after. We had a great time looking out windows. I helped A. orient herself and understand what she was looking at. Yay, understanding aerial perspective!
We walked over to L’Enfant Plaza, stopping at Cafe Twelve for lunch. Awesome deli! I mean, really, really good. Bone in whole turkey being carved up on the spot to make our turkey sandwiches. Wow. Also, really fresh, hot fries from the fryer. Amazing, and inexpensive. The Spy Museum was selling tickets for 1:45 when we arrived at 1, and rather than wait and have a crowded experience, we bailed out and went back home.
My sister came over to visit A. and me at 2, staying about an hour and a half. It was nice to get some uninterrupted time with her.
Dinner is at Ozzie’s at 5 pm. It was great! Very tasty.
I read Amanda Quick’s _The Paid Companion_, another one of her ebook publications of pre-kindle books. I think this one I probably only read one time, and I likely got it from the library but I am not at all sure.
