Sunday: wrapping up the holiday weekend
Dec. 1st, 2019 11:00 pmMIL was packing and generally getting ready to depart tomorrow. I called in the afternoon to get her a ride to the airport. There is snow coming, but it looks like it should work out.
School, however, is canceled for tomorrow, so we finally remembered to have everyone turn off their alarms and just sleep in.
We ate leftovers. I went to the store, which was, predictably, slammed due to incoming Weather.
I set up the gingerbread house kit the night before, and started working on it this morning. T. wanted to get me to do a whole lot of other things, but even tho he initially said he did not want to do legos, he took it over and did almost the whole thing. There were a couple spots where he misunderstood and then could not find a piece because he had already used it — I had R. help backtrack, fix the problem so that he could continue. And the roofs are tricky enough that I could not put them in place either, so R. did that also (several times).
It is super cute.
I bought holiday chocolates at Roche Bros for the Arendelle Castle Advent Box. We started in on the Star Wars Lego Advent Box. We also have candy canes!
