Well, obviously we are still jet lagged! This will make more sense if I get around to blogging about our recent trip to the Netherlands and UK, and our return home yesterday afternoon.
Let us just say that if you get up at 3:30 UK time, to get on a 6:10 flight from Humberside to Schiphol, so that you will catch your 11:20 am NL time flight home to Boston, by the time you have actually gotten home in Metrowest, you will feel like it is hella later than 3 something in the afternoon.
But I did laundry, napped, hoped the migraine would go away, and eventually woke up around 2 in the morning really thirsty and distressingly wide awake. Oh well! I did updates on my devices and played my games and went back to sleep.
Then A. woke up shortly before 6, and wondered what time it was. We got up, I finished folding and putting away laundry, go her and me breakfast, and then got T. up. We worked on the list of school supplies for him and eventually went to martial arts. Let me just say that as squirrelly as Saturday normally is (get up, eat a very light first breakfast, then have a substantial second breakfast and then wonder whether I will make it all the way to an early dinner or snap due to hunger), it has been pretty good so far. Those meals hit way closer to the right times than they usually do.
We picked up the Naud Extra at Colonial Spirits and two framed posters at Acton Framers. I had a lovely phone call with a BIL who was waiting for his last flight to get home, to catch up on what has been happening in our absence.
In weird developments, I have found 5 dead flying insects of the striped yellow and black variety in the house (R. confirmed the presence of stingers),. So far, all in the living room. A little disturbed and wondering what the hell happened. I cannot find any external activity, but I have not checked the whole house yet.
Mail has yet to arrive. That should be exciting.
ETA: Another thing I did at 2 am: I pulled the sourdough crock out of the freezer and set it on the counter. By the time I looked at it again after Vics — about 10 hours later — it was thawed and bubbling away. Heh heh heh. People really make this seem so much more complicated than it is. I fed it again, on general principles.
