Thursday: apparently I am Spring Cleaning
Mar. 7th, 2019 02:30 pmI mean, I know the Spring Equinox isn’t for a few days yet. And I certainly am no believer in Spring Cleaning. However, as a result of this whole bug thing, I am apparently Spring Cleaning.
Today’s cleaning: I vacuumed my car (unrelated to bugs — it just has a lot of grit in it from ferrying kids around in winter). I vacuumed the mud room area (again, unrelated to bugs, artifact of people coming in and out in winter). I vacuumed T.’s room (bugs! Altho I doubt this will make any meaningful difference) and am working my way through all the bedding that can go through the laundry. I’m not bothering with pillows; I’ll just encase those, along with the futon mattress and the foam mattress topper. I’m going to have to do something else with the electric blanket (probably cook it in the Zapp Oven, after making sure that isn’t a bad idea for some reason. Low priority task, regardless). The worst thing about bedding is trying to get it all the way through the spin cycle; the load keeps unbalancing.
I also caught up on clothing, so that everyone will have bug free clothing to put on. Altho with mites in the house, no way to guarantee it stays bug free for any length of time that one is not in a fully isolated bed. Still waiting on the traps and encasements before tackling the vacuuming project that is the bed frame.
