Today we stopped at Nassau. Half of us (R., T., niece K., her dad B.) went to Atlantis Aquaventure. I should have signed K. up to swim with the dolphins, but I didn’t think of it. K.’s phone took a little damage in line when she tripped, and some passports were narrowly rescued from a trip into the water after a gust of wind happened, but otherwise they had a good time.

The other half of us walked briefly around the port, but gave up. The late night / early morning Junkanoo parade had left all the shops in easy walking distance closed and quite a lot of trash around to trip on. We went back on board. We looked at the pools, but none were ideal for A., and none of the rest of us were that excited about getting into a pool. We hung out in the hot tub again instead. We tried Cabanas for lunch. I got a salad, and they made a no dairy Szechuan beef and peppers with rice dish for me. It was good, but if I ever do something like this again, I’m just going with the salad bar and bread. It is way too easy to overeat.

Dinner was at Enchanted Garden. It was Pirate Day, so the kids menus turned into hats, which my sister and I wore for a selfie. We skipped the pirate party, in favor of backgammon.

ETA: I think this was the day we had the cognac tasting. That was sort of weird, but I did learn a bunch of things I didn’t know and now have a more organized way of thinking about cognac. Which is cool.
