A. is having another PJ day, because there is no school for her today (it's Rosh Hashanah and there is a temple in town. I believe it is technically a professional day).
I'm catching up on laundry, because we got behind over the weekend.
My ice crushing devices arrived, so I lined them up, took an initial picture, then tried them each in turn with pictures of the results. I'll post the result on my cookbook. Probably. One is a Westmark metal thing that looks like an overgrown garlic press (obviously, there are differences). One is basically like the one we already have (crank handle, stainless steel blades) but which hopefully does not have concealed regular steel components that will ultimately leak pink rusty bits on the ice. It works marginally better than the Victorio R. bought. And then there is the wooden mallet and the Lewis bag. I was betting I'd wind up liking that one best, and I think I do, altho not for the reason I expected. Turns out I think it is actually faster. Didn't see that coming. And of course you have total control over average piece size. You really can get snow out of it. It's kinda cool.
