In Which We Return Home
Aug. 21st, 2018 11:00 pmWe checked out of Mountain Top Inn and Resort. We drove home. We stopped at a McDonald’s for lunch on the way, because A. had been asking for several days for McDonald’s and we hadn’t felt like driving the several miles to get to one.
We unpacked and did laundry. I had a walk with M.
It was a fun trip. I would go back again, especially in the heat of summer. The mountains in Vermont seem cooler than here in Massachusetts. The restaurant was consistently able to feed us good food (and make us good drinks) that didn’t make us sick either from allergies, intolerances or too much sodium. I felt like I got enough veggies. I had a nice kitchen in the house we rented. The AC (heat pump) was effective. The hot tub was really pleasant. R., A. and C. had a safe, good time on the trail ride. T. and C. had fun at the lake. R. and A. had fun playing frisbee golf (twice!). I didn’t feel like I had to keep up with the house (there was very little to do, which was lovely).
