Last night, A. got up in the middle of the night and was ill (got to the bathroom in plenty of time, and no vomiting, so, yay for that!). I figured day camp wouldn't want her, but it turned out they didn't care. Wow! I let her sleep in and brought her in for the afternoon.
I had a nice phone call with K.
I had a nice walk with M.
I picked up A. at 3:30 (skipping the free play time at the end) and she was in a great mood!
T.'s Watch with the broken crystal is out for repairs.
I finally got the cauliflower head out of the produce drawer. I chopped it up and air fryered it with a little olive oil. I found a general tso's sauce that looked plausible, adjusted it a bit, and made ginger only (no garlic) sauce. Once the cauliflower was browned and somewhat crispy (might get the spray oil out next time), I stir fried it with the sauce and the ginger and a little bit of oil. It smelled like general tso's and it tasted great with brown rice. Altho, seemed a little weird to have cauliflower and brown rice for dinner, it was filling and enough interest in taste to be satisfying. I will do this again, for sure.
My sister and I had this as an appetizer (without the rice) at M66 at Yellowstone, and we have each tried to replicate it. Because we live hundreds of miles apart, we can't taste each other's. I was very happy with what I came up with.
I did some future vacation planning / payments / scheduling: airplane tickets for a relative to come visit at T-weekend, payments on some things, etc.
It was a busy day. Oh, and the duvet cover arrived. It turns out I guessed right, and the Ikea comforter we have really isn't a US single; it's either a UK or a Euro single in size, so the UK single duvet cover works perfectly. Now I just need to get A. some pink sheets.
