I canceled my walk, so I wouldn’t inadvertently make M. sick.

One phone call canceled, because of kid commitments.

The other phone call happened, which was nice, because we had both been traveling overlapping, and this is the first time we’ve had a chance to catch up on trip stories. That turned into me telling a lot of long and involved stories on a topic that she had some very useful insight on. Very, very nice chat!

I brought a Subway sandwich to T.

A. had a good day at her day camp today. Apparently last night’s marathon session getting her set up connected to a creative freebuild Minecraft server, figuring out the plot command and helping her build a 4 layer pyramid for a beacon resulted in her feeling good about all things Minecraft-y. Well, right up until she started something new two minutes before project time ended for the day today. I could hear the tantrum from my car with the windows closed. Those poor guys! They are so patient. And they were convincing when they said the day had actually gone great right up until then — they didn’t have that haunted and exhausted look they have some other days at pickup.

I made blueberry muffins. R. called them recovery muffins (I made them with white flour). It’s a good name for them. The ezekiel bread toast at breakfast had been iffy. The previous night’s cream of wheat cereal had been so-so. I really hate being sick in a way that makes it hard to eat. I like to eat. Eating is crucial.

A. wanted cupcakes, so I made wacky cake cupcakes. They turned out pretty well. It occurs to me that as an eggless recipe, it is sort of infinitely resizeable. You could make _just one cupcake_ if you wanted to. Hmmm.

R. and I had the last Plated meal kit. I’ve been uploading photos from my cell to Flickr today, too. I’ve done about a hundred, which means I’m not yet halfway done.

And in unrelated decluttering, the sitter was looking for a new suitcase and recommendations where to buy them. T. decided he wanted a black suitcase, so his old yellow / tangerine TravelPro spinner was available. It suits her needs. Yay for all of us!
