We got our son back from camp. He had a great time. Laundry is running — his duffel was chock full of sand and dirt along with everything that he went to camp with, minus one flashlight. The little clip music player even made it home. Yay! He wants to go next year, and would like to do two weeks.
A. had a melt down the last hour of this week’s day camp. Oh well! She also had a breakdown at the Cheesecake Factory with the sitter this evening. I _thought_ that she was spending too many hours out of the house, but she was having so much fun I didn’t have it in me to say no. Guess we found the limit, just in time for the weekend.
R. and I had a late lunch / early dinner at 3 p.m. at NYAJ. I had an old-fashioned there, then came home and was feeling a bit at loose ends with no kids due in for a few hours, and not feeling like watching the news or even reading a book. I had a Vieux Carre and took a nice long nap on the couch. I really should do that more often. I’m starting to understand the appeal of sleeping in a recliner. I mean, I’m not at the recliner stage yet, but the couch sure was lovely.
