A. had her first day of horse day camp (1 week, same physical location and mostly the same people as her therapeutic riding, but this is Flying Change not Greener Pastures). She says it was better than ESY, altho not air conditioned. *snicker*
I stopped at the library to pick up this month’s book group selection (Endurance by Alfred Lansing) and then at Roche Bros. to do a little grocery shopping. I walked with M., which was pleasant and quiet and not interrupted by kid demands. Yay, routine!
I had the rest of the tuna salad I made yesterday for lunch, this time with crackers. It was good. Putting cilantro in was a good idea, both from the perspective of I Have Cilantro I Should Use It and because it was extra color and tasty.
I picked A. up, brought her home, and even tho she is off to the pool / splash pad with the sitter, she opted to take a shower to cool off. Fine with me — nothing wrong with rinsing stable dust off.
I’m running Eufy in the upstairs hall. I got the bathrooms at the end of last week, but never got around to running it in the hall and I was really seeing stuff on the floor.
It is _really_ quiet around here. In theory, this is no different from the school year, but for the last two weeks, between traveling with my immediate family, my sister’s family, and I., and then being at home with both kids a bunch, the contrast is quite sharp at the moment.
ETA: I also bought plane tickets for a friend to come visit in October. While we won’t be traveling (much) during September and October, they are shaping up to be pretty busy, fun months, between the friend and (hopefully) a cousin and her boyfriend coming to visit.
