A. was much better. We went to Magic Kingdom. We toured in two groups, but met for lunch at Liberty Tree. When we went to dinner at Park Fare, we went early and stopped upstairs at Ivy Trellis and made an appointment for the next day for A. to have her hair done. She had noticed Bipiddi at the castle earlier in the day, and wanted to go. They pull the kids’ hair really tight for those hair styles, so I thought we would do better going to one of the resort hair salons. Also, I figured it might be easier to get an appointment there, but I did not expect to be able to get one so quickly.
A. needed to have clean hair for the next day, so my mother-in-law took care of that while the rest of us went to Disney Springs to do The Void / Secrets of the Empire. Unfortunately, I had not taken a good look at where The Void was located, and we parked down by La Nouba, as far away from The Void as it is possible to get. *sigh* More walking. The Void was fun, altho I find it mildly disturbing that if the three of us walk into a room with guns, I pick them up and pass them out, but if we walk into a room with a console with buttons and a puzzle, R. will monopolize it. I was really glad we didn’t bring A. Independent of whether it might have been too violent for her to participate in, it _definitely_ would have been tricky shepherding her through it. I did okay with T. but trying to get two kids through it would be really hard.

In practical terms, the experience involves a helmet with a visual display and speakers (so you can hear each other as well as the story stuff) and a vest. The vest has decent haptic feedback so when you are getting shot at, you can locate what direction to look to shoot back at the Stormtroopers. I wouldn’t want to be in there for more than a half hour, but that’s fine, because you won’t be.
It was a good day. NOT having extra magic hour and being able to sleep a little later is key. A. stuck to ice cream once, and there was no further problem.
ETA: A. got one of those personalized painted parasols today. Super pretty!
