Monday’s Activities Include: sick kid
Apr. 16th, 2018 11:00 pmThis was day 2 at Animal Kingdom, but A. and I missed it. She went swimming and their were ducks in the pool. Either that, or eating ice cream three times in one day set off an unfortunate sequence of events and she vomited a few times and had the runs. We stayed in. Since we are at AKL with a savannah view, I got to look out the window and see ankole cattle, a giraffe, an ostrich, a bunch of birds.
My mother-in-law arrived, so T. moved to her room. They went to Jiko for dinner; it was apparently good. I am a little bummed I missed it. I had Ezekiel bread with pb&j for breakfast, a salad for lunch, and an omelette with toast for dinner. I went for a walk with my mother-in-law to some of the lookouts to look at animals; while I was doing that in the afternoon (before their dinner), A. was sick again. I had been hoping to go to dinner since she’d been doing better, but no go.
Good news — I brought emesis bags, so I didn’t have to call housekeeping and have sheets changed. R. used some towels to clean the carpet because he wasn’t with her when I was out, and she let the bag drop off the side of the bed. They tried to pin the blame on me for taking the bag away, but T. found the bag on the floor right where I said it had probably fallen. Supervision of sick kids is key, at least when they are young. Don’t be two doors away.
ETA: Lunch was at Yak & Yeti.
