Thursday’s Activities Include: half day, play date, phone call, recall work

I got up early to go drop off my car for recall airbag work and get a loaner. I returned the car in the evening after R. came home.

Our efforts to get A. to school were a little tricky; she slipped on a patch of ice at the bus stop and hurt her wrist and was crying. I didn’t want to put a crying kid on a bus (not fair to the driver, if nothing else, plus, kid needs comfort and no day starts well riding the bus while crying). R. drove her in. I apologized for her lateness, but she was actually super early so the teacher sent her off to chat with the nurse who gave her an ice pack (I gave her some Advil before she left). No bruise, no break, probably a little spraining.

She had a play date. They got out the pac man shaped game controller that has a bunch of old games on it and played that a lot. We set up another play date to go sledding on Friday, because no one wanted the play date to end, but, next activity for them.

I had a nice phone call with J.
