I had a lovely phone conversation with K.
R. and I had an early lunch at Battle Road. We really like Battle Road. We are not going out to eat very often currently. This is our Friday lunch out, and then when we get date night, we go to Less Than Greater Than. Sort of sad that we are in such a rut ... ha ha ha. We enjoy this so so much.
We did the long loop when we got home. Then, I did the short loop with M. This is the first time I got 4 miles in weeks -- probably over a month. Between travel, weather and just not feeling great, I have been conserving energy. On the plus side, I have been doing a little lifting, which helps me sleep. And I've had plenty of energy to do housework, so I've been getting over 10K steps pretty consistently, so it isn't like I've been a total sloth. Still, it is nice to get 4 miles in a day.
I found the Disney pin lanyards, completely by accident. I was moving the hangar that holds belts to the end of the rod, and learned that I had stored the lanyards on the other side of it. I had completely forgotten. So today, I've been spreading all the pins out on the surface in my closet, and picking out tradeable pins to fill out a lanyard for each of the kids. I packaged them up in small bags for our next trip to the World. I have no idea if they want to give pin trading a try, but there has been some small interest, and I figure it is worth a shot. I love buying the pins, and looking at them, and I do pick out a few for myself to wear now and then. The kids don't have a lot of interest in them between trips, so I don't think there's any harm in seeing if they'll be willing to swap a few of them with cast members.
ETA: I stopped at the liquor store on Powdermill Rd while R. was next door. They were out of Hudson Rye. Sad face! I bought some Angel's Envy Rye. It is very vanilla-y. Pretty good, tho.
ETAYA: Oh, and A.'s Olaf Advent Calendar has not just a dreidel (which we got some days ago) but a menorah in it! This is the best Advent calendar ever (<-- obviously, this is hyperbole and equally, I'm in no position to judge the quality of advent anything. That said, my advent calendar with dairy free chocolate, while tasty, is clearly the weak link the family advent stuff. R.'s beer box is pretty amazing -- I'm thinking that's a new thing to do every year forever. But Olaf is also fantastic. I have no idea how I'm going to match that next year.).
