I took A. to the dentist. Meanwhile, R. took T. to the Sleepy Hollow Fun Run, where his time was way better than at the Mayor's Cup. So that's T-shirt number two for the weekend, for anyone keeping track.
I took A. to McDonald's in Acton after the dentist. We had a party to go to, which we attended from 2-4 p.m. Then I bailed out, because A. had already had two meltdowns (related to games being played for prizes -- musical chairs and similar) and someone was finally stung by some kind of bee / wasp / whatever. They had been landing on me for a couple hours, but as long as no one was stung, I was like, OK, I'll be a sport. But when a little girl was finally stung, I said nope, we are going home. I don't want a trip to the ER or something interfering with the rest of the weekend's plans. Also, I had accidentally eaten a green tortilla chip which turned out to contain a surprising amount of cheese / milk product, and had a migraine.
It was a good party, actually. Lots of kids, everyone really nice, friendly adults, etc. But two hours was about a half hour too much for us. Kids wore their costumes, and T.'s required cleaning (thank you, Laundress brush; it cleaned up easily); A.'s required extensive repair (thank you, R., for having a sewing machine and knowing how to use it).
