A.'s half day is today. Unexpectedly, T. had a very abbreviated day as well, and was off with the sitter a little after 11 a.m. They have big plans, including going to see The Mountain Between Us. I read spoiler-y synopses and concluded that while the rating is PG-13, being 12 might actually make that plot line just about ideal: adventure, and what basically feels like an HEA without any of the agony that an adult might feel for various reasons.
I cooked black eyed peas, white rice, veg with chorizo and am baking banana bread. There are baked beans from yesterday evening. So a couple of food choices in the fridge for the next couple of days, in addition to the usual (chicken thighs and salad options, along with eggs and similar).
It's still raining. The painter and assistant are working on painting in the bathroom, so that's nearly done. There is also some painting that I forgot about to be done on the third floor, where the wall was cut into to put insulation in earlier in the year. R. talked to the painter about it; I don't know the ETA on that task.
