Thursday's Activities Include: driving to Virginia

We took the kids out of school a couple days earlier in hopes of beating the rush or something. I was very nervous about the drive down, because T-weekend was so awful, but this wasn't bad at all.

We had lunch at McDonald's, which A. was excited about because of the Sing! happy meal toys. We had dinner at Applebee's. We got in before bed time. R. and I alternated driving.

We checked into two studios in a Residence Inn very close to where my sister lives. I had had a rental house in Annandale which canceled due to flooding. Attempts to get a different rental were not successful (calendars which weren't updated made it look like their were choices that were not choices. Frustrating). It's a nice Residence Inn, fairly new. There is no indoor pool, which is a bummer.
