Happy Solstice to everyone!

Huge congratulations to those involved in this important accomplishment.

For those of you scratching your head, one of the reasons space exploration is so freaking expensive is because we throw away the expensive equipment after a single use. Bad! A variety of billionaires have been experimenting with how to reuse more of the equipment. On November 23, Bezos' Blue Origin's New Shepard rocket flew _sub_orbitally and landed stage one. Today, Musk's SpaceX has accomplished what it has failed more than once in doing: delivered payloads to orbit AND landed stage one.
