A. and I went to see the Minions movie. We saw it in 3D at Burlington, so we had reserved seats that reclined and all that ludicrous luxury. The original plan was for the sitter to take her but [insert complicated story here involving a family member who is in the hospital] the sitter could not. Had I planned to do this with A. myself, I would have gotten very different seats, and, for that matter, probably would have gone all four of us to Maynard Fine Arts and it would have been an entirely different experience.

But there we were, in seats G10 and 11 at 11:30 a.m. on a Friday. The movie was entertaining. A. enjoyed her popcorn. I drank some more tea (I brought it in, yes, I am That Person). The movie sort of defies description and lacks many of the really wonderful characteristics and themes of the Despicable Me movies, which are about Gru developing better relationships, first with the kids and then with a romantic partner. This movie is about how the Minions came to attach themselves to Gru, and it is very funny -- but it is missing the depth of the other movies. Altho it is very funny, which I think I probably mentioned.

Prior to the movie, we drove out to Littleton, to drop off the swimsuit that didn't make it into T.'s backpack today. After the movie, I offered to take A. out to eat, but she declined, so I got a walk with M. Later, the four of us went to Applebee's for dinner, and after that, I did the longer loop out to West Acton. So only 4 miles for the day, but consider the rest of this week (M5, T6, W5, Th7), I feel really good about the week as a whole.
