We have actually started saying things like, "It's not the heat, it's the humidity" without any irony.
I think this is because I persist in walking outside in the current weather. Also, A. wanted to go to the playground (there, it wasn't the heat, it was the direct sunshine). I was hoping for thunder showers, but got a tiny amount of rain and little else instead.
Also, there are now two children in the house with Farmville 2 games going that R. and I both find horribly addictive. It is sad. Hopefully this will not last too much longer.
