A while back, when we were all getting used to masking initially, people commented that there was going to be a horrific resurgence of RSV when the masking stopped. Well, here it is. Currently, the UK, Louisiana and Texas are really struggling. This is super weird — it’s not normally that big a deal in the summer time there.

Also, a while back, I went looking around to find out what other new vaccines might be on their way. I’ve been feeling super optimistic, that we might have better flu vaccines, or vaccines against HIV or whatever. On that list was RSV. Moderna has one they’ve been working on.

Their development plan was to do an adult one first, and then work down in age. We sure could use an RSV vaccine for children right now.
