walkitoutMail arrived. In the mail were more cards. One of the cards had a bookmark — handmade, delightful personal message from a beloved friend, and the other had a hankie with my initials embroidered on it in purple. Ooooh! So sweet!
I walked with M. I was a little pissy when I heard that her parents had had someone over for Xmas dinner. M. was like, it was just one person. I’m like, it only takes one! OTOH, M. always eats her meals in another room anyway. *sigh* It is what it is, and ultimately, I am more upset about the parents taking the risk on themselves than I am for sharing it with us. We did still have an indoor visit, and the up side of having a visitor is that apparently that was why they did not go out for their holiday meal.
Later in the day, I saw a photo showing my MIL and 4 friends of an age with her, unmasked, having a Xmas Eve party.
I just do not even understand any more. The next few weeks are gonna be a helluva thing.
I did the long walk by myself.
I made hash with leftover ham, parsnips, carrots, and added a small potato and some bell peppers and greens. That was dinner; lunch was the last of the shaved steak, with the rest of the pasta, and some tomato sauce, the rest of the onion, and some bell pepper. Oh, and mushrooms and greens.
I had phone calls with my sister and R. R. is running errands today. I am in awe of her productivity. Also, her office is looking absolutely amazing these days on zoom.
