Tuesday: walks, phone calls

I had a phone call with K.
Our education secretary is pushing hard to reopen schools. Orange guy is pushing to reopen schools. Pediatric types in Texas are pushing to reopen schools. Florida is pushing to reopen schools.
While the first two days with the sitter went pretty well, on day three, they made a Bad Choice: they went to a full restaurant and ate indoors.
On the surface, nothing has changed. I have not been contacted by contact tracers saying I or anyone else has been exposed (I wasn’t at that restaurant, either). Our numbers here in Mass have not changed — altho we will not know what the effect of the fourth was for a few more days, probably, possibly longer.
But I actually traveled last month, and I intended to travel to Florida (twice!) in the fall on trips that were booked in the Before Times. I have expected the second one to be canceled for me (FWIW, I expected that about the trip we took, too). I really thought, tho, that I would be taking our usual trip to the parks, albeit without my sister.
I am a lot less certain today, however, than I was yesterday.
OTOH, Mary Trump’s book is being read aloud on TRMS and includes some absolute doozies. So, you know, maybe this circus is purely to benefit orange guy by distracting everyone.
