After a few weeks of having trouble getting to walk (even on the treadmill) even once a week (partly campaign stress, mostly feeling ill, headachy, like I was getting a cold that never really materialized), I've gone three days in a row. One half hour on the treadmill, one long walk yesterday sliding around on icy snow by the lake with L. and A., and one loop round Hobart Hill with N.

Encouraging.

Off-topic on this entry, but thought you might like to know -- this guy says he learned to read before learning to talk: http://davidgoldfarb.livejournal.com/16204.html. I don't really know him, but have a general impression of him as a nice, interesting person from his comments on others' blogs.

T. is echoing a lot more several words in a row. And this morning, I swear he uttered four words that sounded like a real sentence, but I couldn't figure out what he was saying. He tried it three times and then went and found something more productive to do. And he's using individual words more often to ask for things ("plate", "juice box", "toothbrush", "toothpaste"). And I think I heard him say "want blocks", when he was trying to get us to get the alphabet blocks back out. R. keeps putting them away because he hates hurting his feet stepping on them.

Sounds like this guy talked even less than T. His name and writing style looks really familiar to me, which makes me wonder if in the distant past he posted to r.a.sf.w. or something and I read him then.
