Really nice, detailed look at Judge Koh’s ruling in an antitrust case against Qualcomm. I had been, obviously, happy that my husband’s company had recently being doing better than it usually did in competing against Intel, however, I had also been sitting around wondering what on earth was distracting Intel to the point where it was making the kinds of errors they made that allowed my husband’s employer to eat some of their market share.

I guess this provides a partial answer to that question.

Anyway. Qualcomm engaged in a lot of cartoonishly obvious antitrust behavior, and, subject to what happens on appeal, it may finally have to stop and at least pretend to behave better, which might lead to less of a monopoly on modem standards compliant cell chips. Maybe. If we are lucky.
