walkitoutWe got up Very Early. Sleeping was tricky anyway, because weird seas and corkscrewing rolling. Kinda awful. My sister got sick in the middle of the night and my niece wasn’t feeling good earlier. I had to take extra Dramamine (a half tab at a time, instead of a quarter).
I had ordered A. and I breakfast via door hanger: frosties for her and a bagel for me. Once again, a double order appeared. Who knows why.
We didn’t turn any luggage over, but rolled it out with the fine person from concierge and off the boat before 8 a.m. Still had to stand in line for customs, but that was very uneventful. We rode the shuttle over to National, picked up a minivan, installed the transponder and drove to Sarasota. We stopped at a rest area on the way.
We checked into Hibiscus Suites. We had lunch at Applebee’s with G. I think I lost my earplugs there; I’m not sure. Oh well. We had dinner at Demetriou’s with G. We stopped at a Publix and I bought a small bottle of Bulleit bourbon, after we picked up some groceries for snacks / breakfast / food on the plane.
ETA: We said good bye to my sister’s family. In the original plan, she was going to do more Space Coast stuff, but her family doesn’t do well with long trips, so we moved her flight up, canceled her post cruise hotel stay at the Residence Inn and signed her up for Disney motor coach back to the airport. Sad! We had so much fun!
