walkitoutA. has been developing a cold the last couple days, but today she woke up coughing and snotty and miserable. We got her dressed and in front of breakfast, but temp was 99.8, which will be 100 when the nurse measures it so I called her in sick but said not a 100 on the fever to preserve the option to bring her in late if she got better.
When I checked again around 10:30, however, she’d hit 100.1. Oh well! Not going in today, then. Other than my daily walk (converted to a visit, maybe, but probably just canceled) and a phone call, I don’t have any particular commitments today, so it really is the best day to have a kid home sick.
