WDW trip report: MK, Kona Cafe

walkitoutDinner will be at Kona Cafe later.
There was a hard ticketed event at MK this morning before opening. It was a pay extra money to go on 3 rides in Fantasyland — there were probably other features as well, but that was the big win. Basically, when your wee ones aren’t letting you sleep anyway, you can minimize the line time at Winnie the Pooh, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Peter Pan.
We aimed for Tomorrow Land. We probably should have done Space Mountain because it turned out to be a day that A. wanted to do it twice, but I rarely bother anymore because usually she only wants it once and it isn’t an impossible FastPass to get so we ride it later and do other things first. She didn’t want to ride Buzz Lightyear twice, but I’ll ride that thing as many times as you let me. We had a FP and we did it close to open. We also did Astro Orbiter (which she wanted to ride alone) and PeopleMover.
Then we got a Merida signing and photo! Super excited about that, it is the last one we needed in her princess autograph book. They bonded over hair, because A. still has fancy hair from Ivy Trellis yesterday.
The Space Mountain ride was complicated for me. My MagicBand peeled off as I was juggling by backpack and so forth. I did find it and got it on, but then I felt the sprayer fan go off and tried to turn it off and did, but lost the cap and the fan blade while doing that. I did actually manage to retrieve those from the floor of the car at end of ride. I was muttering, “This is Unreal,” as I was reassembling everything, so A. wanted to know what I meant.
We did some more pin trading. We bought me a purse, her a dress, and us a ton of pins, along with the usual snacks. Lunch was at Cosmic Ray’s. She wanted the bacon, and I didn’t want a burger, so I got her the adult burger meal bacon on the side. I tried to get a 6 piece nuggets allergy version, with carrots. I wound up with a 10 piece and the fries after all. We tossed a lot of fries, but she ate some of the nuggets. I’m feeling a little less under the weather today.
