Wednesday’s Activities Include: puttering
Apr. 4th, 2018 11:00 pmI got two walks: a short one around the block by myself (when M. visited, the weather was still crap) and a long one in the evening by myself.
I made the mojo marinated steak fajitas for lunch. I didn’t care for the tortillas (that’s a first — I usually like tortillas). The avocado was really excellent. R. finished off the chicken meatball minestrone for dinner; I supplemented it with another round of allium free mirepoix and we used up the allium free no salt added chicken stock. He also put in a few other odds and ends (I think some ditalini went in there). I had a lacinata kale and mushroom omelette for dinner with cole slaw on the side, and chocolate angel food cake for dinner. We are eating really well around here!
A. and I went to the Roche Bros. PIP STEM event: a bunch of stations set up and activities involving estimating, counting, graphing, reading labels, etc. That was relatively fun. They sent her home with a goodie bag with the M&Ms from the counting activity, an apple (she ate the whole thing — I had one bite, it was a really good one), a sugar cookie and a deck of cards. There is some paper instructions for math games with cards. I suppose I should just teach her how to play 21. That’s a way to learn math.
I got another day camp application mostly filled out. Fortunately, it, like the sleepaway camp, is on CampDoc, so I already had an account and already had some familiarity with filling out forms on that system. Yay?
I Eufy’d the upstairs bathrooms and did some other minor housecleaning. I no longer feel quite so far behind. The new computer seems to be charging correctly. I may actually put my data on it. I’m almost ready to trust it.
