It rained today. I’m really happy that, at least while I was out, it wasn’t icy. I had a nice visit with M., but we didn’t walk because it was sort of miserable out there.
I spent a chunk (about 2 hours) of my mornings sitting at the BMW dealer, waiting for my winter tires to be put on my car and the annual inspection to be done.
I had lunch at Julie’s Place. While there, I got a call from Colonial Liquors saying my two bottles of Nocino and 3 bottles of Vermouth had arrived. So off I went to collect them. I then did a side by side comparison of the Nocino, and decided that for drinking purposes, I preferred the Italian (Russo). I tried each in a Manhattan (Michter’s Rye and one of the La Quintinye Vermouths I got today, chocolate bitters), and decided that in the Manhattan, I preferred the one from WA DC (Don Ciccio and Figli and that may be spelled wrong). Tricky! I need to ask M. which Nocino he wound up buying, and what he thinks of it.
Totally loving the La Quintinye (probably spelling that wrong, too) vermouth.
