Monday's Activities Include: book group

This week's book group selection was _Honeydew_, which is short stories. I read a few. I didn't like them. They felt like they had "punchlines", or knife twists at the end of the story. I don't much care for that kind of thing. Turns out other people in the group didn't much care for it either. We had a nice conversation, tho, and spent the balance of the meeting picking out selections for 2018. I was bummed to learn that M., the librarian, will be retiring in a few months. Very sad! And moving, too, so I'll really miss her.

I had a nice phone convo with K. She is a good and supportive friend, very non judgmental and let me rant for a while about something that was distressing me without in any way blowing it out of proportion. She is such a pleasure to have in my life.
