I charge my earbuds, watch and phone on a cute little stand charger. Last night it decided not to work. I discovered this when my watch hit 10% today. And then later I realized my phone was at 50%. I left the watch charging at home while I brought A. to school, and then I figured out that of the 3 pieces that make charging happen (the block / power supply, the usb-A to usb-C cord and the cute little stand charger), the block was the part that failed. So I put a different block in and I get to keep using my delightful charger. Yay!

I drove M. to and from citizens library in West Acton so she could return books and check out more.

I found where I had misplaced my phone while debugging the charging setup. It was sitting on a different charger. D’oh.

I attended the MEPFP / OAC meeting. I looked over the shop drawings for the front door. I looked over the register submittal. To the degree I can make sense of this stuff, it all looks fine to me.

I added Still More stuff to my stack of Things to Pack. It will have to be edited down ruthlessly, but I’m still in the adding stuff phase. I tracked down my prescription swim goggles, and also my prescription diving mask. I also found my snorkel, fins, and dive gloves. I found other things, too, but these are the ones that I thought I might make use of. Many thanks to past walkitouts for editing down the contents of the basement so that I only had to look in a half dozen bins to find these items and they were in the bin that was labeled as containing these items. And I didn’t have to dig through a bunch of things that haven’t fit for decades to find these items. All in all, very successful and satisfying. And the mask prescription works just fine. It was an open question — it dates from the late 90s. I don’t really think I’m going to bring my own snorkel and fins with me on this upcoming trip, because they are easy to rent on island and they’ll take up a lot of space in the luggage.

ETA: I retrieved A. and we had dinner at West Village Tavern where we saw B. Delightful! Also, the bartender there is really committed to a very full up glass for the stranhattan. Only one! Two would really be a problem for anyone I think.

I ordered the next size up for my rash guard and hopefully that will arrive on Thursday. Lots of things arrived in the garage today. I put the spring loaded drawer separators into a drawer in my bathroom. It is an improvement over what I had in there before, altho I had failed to account for a screw head that was in an unfortunate location. It worked out tho, just a little differently than I had expected. I put the two battery lights in the corner cupboard, where they are awesome.
