Wednesday a lot of talking

walkitoutI had a long convo with J.
I had a visit with M. I did not walk, because I am resting my knee. It really does not like being bent past a certain angle, especially with weight on it. I’d like to let it heal before it gets to the continuous pain level. It is improving, and I’m not wrecking any other joints babying it yet, and other than skipping the walk, I’m not cutting back much from normal activity levels (altho cutting back a lot from the dozens of flights of stairs over the weekend!).
Mudding completed around 10:30 today, so that was great. Room looks really good.
My many mosquito bites are probably close to maximally annoying right now. Ugh.
I had a meeting with ML, formerly of NACPM, running a midwifery / community birth policy institute now. Always very enjoyable meeting with her.
R. and I had dinner at Silver Girl. I had a lovely cheesecake adjacent dessert. Fortunately, the chef was out of tapioca for the recipe and used corn starch instead so I am sniffle free! Woot! The photo ornaments were finally picked up by a somewhat chatty person who is listening to Immune by Dettmer. I’d never heard of it, but I downloaded the sample on Amazon to check it out. It would be nice to have a recent, accessible survey of the current understanding of our immune system.
I’m off to the airport in a few hours to pick up my friend A.Y. for a several day visit. I have a hotel room for a couple nights and need to figure out fairly soon who will be staying in that room.
In the meantime, I have been dis-assembling lego sets.
