Well, A. and I did not sleep well last night. I should have given her a benadryl. Oh well! We got up and got out to the escape room at 10:30, arriving 15 minutes in advance as the staff/gamemaster arrived. Not. Late. Yay! It was a Sherlock Holmes room with a ton of padlocks. Good game, tho — props were excellent and the puzzles just about the right level of challenging, altho I really was never going to realize that the bar cart/globe opened up. I am not the only one to struggle with that, tho. A. sat in the comfy chair somewhat dazed from lack of sleep and the benadryl I finally gave her.
We had leftovers (mostly burgers A. did not care for from last night or did not finish from Beverley Hills). I heated them up in the oven and made A. a nutella sandwich, since she did not like the reheated burger and T. finished off the cheese singles. R. and I split the burger and fries leftovers. Later, we went for a walk over the common, and took pictures and then stopped at the gold course restaurant. T. was their ONLY customer yesterday, so when R. commented our son came over, the woman tending bar said we wondered and then we chatted. R. got an Aspall cider, and I had a Bells. When we were done, the woman asked if we were in a rush and we said no, and we got to climb up to the top of the tower there. Great pictures! I did a video with jose monkey find me request, so we will see if that meets the criteria; I will not submit until I return.
Lots of showers, and I got most of the packing done. We will be having dinner at my cousin’s. Oh, and I checked in for the flight. I have also been keeping up on Duolingo throughout the trip. I did get a long way into Roleplaying, a novel recommended by K., which has an ace/bi hero and an extremely socially anxious heroine, both close to 50 in age. Unusual, and pretty awesome.
