Animal Kingdom. Today R. dropped A. and I off at the park.
We talked about our priorities ahead of time, and we did Flight of Passage first, followed by Navi river journey. Flight took 90 minutes from park arrival (during early entry, going through security fast and the passholder lane as well), but Navi river journey was listed as 35 minutes (down from 40) but took 15 minutes total. Then A. single ridered Expedition Everest twice. We got popcorn and hot cocoa and got out early and I did laundry and rested. I picked up a lunch for A. at Gasparelli’s and she ate it in the room; I had a big salad, toast and eggs from my groceries. And one of the Hefeweizens.
Dinner was at Citrico’s. We got a bottle of chianti, I forget which and we’ve had it at home before, too. My sister likes chianti (it is the wine of our childhood, and alas, I do mean that completely seriously) and we had a bunch of pasta with red sauce going on so it was fine. I ordered all vegan and I regret the cauliflower — way too smoky. But the pasta bolognese was fine and the “egg” yolk really behaved great — I think it was a yellow heirloom tomato that they messed around with creatively. My sister and I split the vegan arancini which was really good, and my niece C. and I split the Rose Apple, which involved a cleverly cut up apple and marzipan among other things. Really yummy!
