I did reschedule my walk with M. (both my walking partner and also my friend, separately). No walks today.
Piano tuner came today. Fun! He did the Porsche lego kit, and partway through stopped and reassembled it with a right side steering wheel. Awesome! He had pictures on his phone. So delightful!
T. went to do raking as part of Junior Raking Day. Very nice, and he drove himself. He also took himself out to dinner at NYAJ and ran into B., who was formerly a server at Julie’s Place. So nice!
A. and I had dinner at Wicked. She had the ice cream sandwich first, and then had a grilled chicken sandwich with american cheese and french fries. She ate the ice cream but took the cookies back with us (I took almost half of my pizza back with us). She snacked on them later while we watched TikTok. We are having so much fun. I even figured out a way to plug my car in.
I also went and picked up the pictures from J.M., so I can now do the holiday mailer, since I have everything. Also, I will need to get the new pictures in frames. I also chatted with her about how to communicate with a hypothetical photographer in April when traveling with my sister and her family to set up a successful group session. I’ll need to find out whether they have a studio (in case of rain), and also communicate clearly about autism (don’t try too hard to get everyone looking at you at the same time!) and payment expectations (tell them up front that I intend to buy the session, because if they are hearing a lot of unusual demands and thinking what if we buy just one picture, that won’t be good for them, and also not what we want anyway, so why not be up front about it). Also! Her son has completed (?) college and daughter is in the looking for a school stage so helpful to chat with her about that.
Finally, I had a zoom with E., which was nice, altho wow that time lag to England. I was making bread while I was on the phone with him (pulling the sourdough out of the crock and rolling it out with some whole wheat flour). I proofed it while I was getting the photos and then baked it while I was having lunch and wow I’ve never had such a delightful looking loaf — super even, open crumb.
