An entirely too rainy day
Sep. 13th, 2026 11:00 pmIt did get better, but watching the sheet of water go down my driveway was … I don’t want to be overly dramatic, but I was glad I didn’t have to be driving on it while that was happening.
The gutters are doing their thing, and R. is documenting where there are issues (which are mostly minor and probably all fixable). The sound of the rain in the gutters is delightful. I do like rain, just not hard rain.
We had dinner at Osaka in Northampton, which was loud (because hibachi a couple yards to the side); sushi and drinks were all great. Not _as_ good as the place in Arlington we’ve been to twice, but really good. I got fake orange chocolate ice cream at Herrell’s with peanut butter sauce and that was awesome. We had more to drink at The Green Room, and need to remember to get a bottle of giffard’s apricot, and I also took a picture of Amargo de Chile by CH distillery / Dogma. We got a taste and it was fantastic.
