I’ll do some catch-up blogging in a moment.
I got a call from the builder, giving me a headsup that our delightful superintendent, N., will be transitioning to a new project at Smith College in May. We’ll be sad, but the project management team will wrap things up I feel sure, and it is reassuring to know that the planning is in progress now.
Copper prices being high and inventories being low, copper ducting for the exposed duct in the bar area is Not Happening. But we have a faux painted solution ticking along, so that’s good.
The last room’s charges from our California stay at Residence Inn have successfully disappeared from my friend’s card and have cleared pending on my card, so _that_ is resolved. Woot!
Priestess has returned the cloak that does not fit for store credit at Lunafide, so _that_ is progressing nicely. Woot!
T. and I went to Acton PD, delivered some paperwork and a business card, talked to the officer in charge of the case, and that’s mostly resolved. And we think he might be able to deduct the loss on his taxes, because there was a profit motive even tho it isn’t what I would think of as a classic investment scam.
The barstools have arrived.
I got a bunch of new clothes through the rinse and spin and hang to dry in the laundry.
I walked with M.! I ordered new Icebugs and “floorsaver” from Icebug. I’m very excited about this.
I also read four days worth of Matt Levine columns, which was delightful. And I have scheduled a time to troubleshoot why my sister’s kindle has never worked quite right. If I “deliver” stuff from the website, she can download, but she can’t kick that process off herself. Which is weird.
