The bump on my face is definitely bigger and hotter and more uncomfortable than before. A hot compress at intervals helps enormously. I’ll call the dermatologist on Monday, I guess.

Someone came and picked up the wall switches and the fan controller that we tried recently and decided we liked the leviton better in the first case and that it wasn’t compatible with our fan in the second case. I’m down to a handful of ducks and other toys, and the ring light listed. I should poke around in the basement and find some more stuff to list, just to keep myself entertained.

I reached out to the remodeler, and the start day has pushed out to April, so I have plenty of time to keep working at this basement clear out. I don’t really need it, but might as well take the opportunity while it is here.

I went over the games on the Xbox with R., and discussed which ones they had played and liked or not liked. I did some research, found some sequels, and we bought a couple that were on my list already. So that’s good. One of the games I had picked out, we already owned but had never played the first entry.

I addressed a couple pieces of mail to go out on Monday. I did some laundry. I made soup for lunch (with some toasted nashoba garlic bread) and had a piece of cake for snack.

ETA: I called A. and we had a nice chat. She wants a fairy godmother to help out with moving stuff away from the walls and then back and decluttering along the way, so I found a local-to-her company with that kind of professional and the right set of words and told her if money was an issue, I’d help out with it. She’s going to try to find a gym with a treadmill near her, so we can do virtual shared exercise. I can always use the motivation (especially in winter) and she needs weight bearing exercise regularly to make the best use of some osteoporosis medication she’s about to start on (or try starting on).

Priestess told me that her Canadian online buddy has made zero progress towards making hotel reservation for their meetup in Victoria in a couple weeks. We had anticipated this would happen and exactly what it would look like (we know how ADHD works), so I had pre-investigated options and discussed them with her, and pushed in the direction of her going for two nights instead of just one, and to go whether he managed to get there or not. So I made sure the hotel I thought would be a good choice (very close walk to Clipper) had a king room for the relevant nights, and then I zelle’d her the money so we wouldn’t have to deal with it being on my credit card. I had also discussed maybe finding a museum to visit. Initially she was not that receptive, but as we’re getting closer and ADHD person is ADHD’ing, she mentioned museum and I pointed her at the one 650 m from the hotel. (Did I think about this? You bet I did.) She made a reservation on the Clipper and for high tea at the Empress, so I think it’s safe to say she’s going to have a glorious day and a half ish in Victoria. It’s always a fun place in a low key and relaxing way.

Definitely a busy day for Fairy Godmother Walkitout. It was a great distraction from worrying about my face.
