I. and her friend L. (who is delightful) went to see Notre Dame this morning. R. went to put some gas in the van and get windshield wiper fluid. We met up at Time Out Montreal in the Eaton centre, which was very close to the hotel. I’m feeling really good about Le Square Phillips as a home base in Montreal. So that part is working great.
I had the General Tso’s at Chanthy Yen and I got fries from there; they were out of pork bao and beignets. Bummer! I had pre-fed A. triscuits, the last of the cheese, half an apple, raisins, peanuts. We got her gelato (“biscuit”, which is cookie dough ice cream, and chocolate). She had a bunch of my rice, a few fries, and then decided she’d had enough starch.
After some discussion, R. went for a bike ride. I. and L. stayed a bit longer to get gelato. A. and I went to the Barbie Expo, which was tricky to find, but also was super awesome. We managed to not get lost too much, altho we did get sweaty walking around in the sun. A. has not had a lot of experience walking around cities so I’m a little concerned about taking her to NYC in October, but probably this will be something that will increase her options going forward so on balance I probably will.
