Monday: back to school
Jul. 8th, 2024 11:59 pmA. is back at school. Thursday was a holiday and she was out sick Friday. While she was not feeling well over the weekend, today was good. It was just a cold, altho she is now having some GI troubles. Hopefully this is nearing the end of it.
It was hot today, so M. and I had a visit but did not walk.
I did the 3 mile loop with not son after dark, when it dropped down below 80.
R. took not son out to the house site for the meetings; I attended remotely. We had a nice table of dates when various design decisions are due, and it’s already getting updated. LOL. We went over the plaster vs. wallboard room by room (for walls; ceiling is still an open question, but we’ve got an approach at any rate). I still need to check in with my sister as well. We found a really great pink sink for A.’s bathroom, to replace the quite horrible one on the plumbing schedule for her bathroom.
I’ve gotten somewhat obsessed with the unfinished space on the third floor. I went over to Houzz and filled out a form and got some responses from remodelers. One of them has a bunch of questions the other wants to schedule a site visit and/or call. I had to fess up to R. what I’d done, because I didn’t necessarily want to take it any further without discussing it. He’s thinking about just doing the whole thing as a DIY project. I think that’s a bad idea for a variety of reasons, but am prepared to discuss it for a while.
In the meantime, I’m getting rid of a few of the things stored in that space. I found all the comforters I’d lost track of, so I’m probably going to bring those over to a laundromat and clean them. I’ve been trying to find them for a while, but more intensively with a house guest. *sigh*
