Rereading

I tried rereading Tanya Huff’s “Blood Price”, and bounced hard. I may come back to it — part of it is the tone, part of it is the initial interaction with the ex-. No complaints about the author; just not in the mood for that.

I then tried rereading Elizabeth Moon’s Heris Serrano series, and that hit the spot perfectly. I haven’t reread this in a really long time, but it’s all coming back quickly. I am noticing a few things that I did not notice the first time around, most forcibly how so many of the books I’ve read over the years feature characters who tumble into a situation that puts them in close proximity to people with vast wealth, and how they evolve in that context. Ha ha ha ha. Anyway, finished the first one, and have moved onto the second (it’s a kindle all in one, so, convenient!).

I walked with M.

R. keeps moving along on the dresser painting; it’s now looking good AND sticking properly.

I called the neurologist’s office and set up a telehealth appointment to discuss A.’s symptoms. It’s next Tuesday at 2:30, which is a homework cafe slot for A., so I may arrange to just go do it with her. Not sure, tho, because I’m going to have a houseguest, and I need to keep him entertained as well.
