A. had a regular Wednesday day. Yay!

We talked a little about her difficulties with the homework from English yesterday and World History today and the conversation she had with her study skills teacher about what to do about how she wasn’t done and had been working on it pretty steadily. They will discuss it in class. I am interested in developments. I’m _really_ excited how these _very typical of A. problems_ are actually being engaged with. Who knows if they are solvable — some are, and some might not be — but I’m excited that they are not being given up on.

I walked with M.

I had a delightful phone call with J.

I forgot to sign a check (an important one) and got a call from my broker and they were able to fix it without me having to rewrite it. Let me tell you, I had no idea this was a thing and I am so excited about it. Also, it’s so cool that I recognize the voices of basically everyone on that team. I think this is either the second or third time in my life I’ve written a check and forgotten to sign it. I remember at least one other incident extremely vividly; it is one of the reasons I pay bills very promptly. It allows time for the decadal fuckery I seem to engage in. I am also super grateful for the many other forms of payment that I can use instead of writing checks.

We packed this morning. I really put this off to the last minute.

I think this is the first trip I’ve taken that involved A. and me and no one else, and an airplane. We’ve done a couple short road trips to Legoland together, to meet S. and her kids. This time, it’s a plane to Virginia, to meet R. and her kids. Gotta love the No Men trips. Hopefully the men left behind will equally enjoy their blissful time without us.
