Monday: phone calls!
Mar. 18th, 2024 11:00 pmI got a referral to a pediatric neurologist for A. I called. I got an appointment for tomorrow! I took the first one! I am an idiot, I should have taken the 11 am instead, because I’m now gonna have to do the MEPFP meeting in the car on the way to the appointment.
Oh well!
I also got a call from Fusion Academy, and everything is sounding great and I have a zoom meeting scheduled with someone on Wednesday afternoon and they want A.’s transcript and IEP. I had a copy of the IEP, and the registrar turned around the request for the transcript virtually instantly.
I also reached out to the school nurse for information about what she saw when A. went in earlier this month with involuntary hand movements.
I had a long convo with my sister. She had a nice birthday, but is definitely feeling a little at loose ends having quit her current assignment after some scheduling shenanigans. I got her to sign up for Duolingo family plan (last slot I had open); maybe A. and R. can practice Spanish conversation together.
I walked with M. I realized that part of how M. understands what people are talking about is by listening to NPR, so I asked which show. Mostly Morning Edition. So I showed that to A., and we listened to a bit about self-checkout kiosk rollbacks.
I am sort of dreading tomorrow, because MEPFP plus a neurology appointment sounds challenging, but also super excited. It _did_ make emailing the attendance super easy — she’s out for a doctor’s appointment.
I reported A. absent today as part of “pursuing a neurology referral”.
