First Full Day at Universal
Dec. 29th, 2023 11:00 pmWe did Villain Con! We didn’t watch the instructions in the queue and had no idea what we were about to do so we just randomly shot at stuff. It was fun! We took a bunch of pictures in the queue because the theming for the booths and schedule and sessions was fantastic.
We had lunch at Finnegan’s. A.’s chicken and french fries were too seasoned for her tastes, which may be the most significant theming failure of that restaurant. I had the vegan shepherd’s pie and it continues to be excellent. I had a Smithwick’s with it. Yum.
We did the Horror Movie Makeup show again; it’s basically the same and still fun.
Gringott’s line was nuts, so we gave up on that. We did Transformers, MIB, the Simpsons dumbo ride, which is always hilarious. We did the Mummy, which was fun.
Dinner was at Islands. They have a pretty extensive vegan menu, so I got the drunken noodles and the vegan chocolate cake, which were fantastic. The spring rolls were good, too (but I don’t know that they were vegan).
