Friday: slept in, cooked
Sep. 29th, 2023 06:46 pmSiena Farms delivery was today, including the last box of the Seasonal Corn and Fruit Share. There was no corn; it was an entire box of apples. We were _finally_ catching up on the apples from T. going apple picking. R. ate the last piece of pie, so I made another one. A. says that I finally got flavor and texture good on the crust. Yay me!
I also used a half dozen or so apples to make a 9x9 apple crisp. That was super yummy.
I cooked the contents of the box of mushrooms except the plastic bin of shitake. I still have lion’s mane from 2 weeks ago. Oh well.
I slept in and it rained so I didn’t go for a walk. I’ve been feeling like I’m fighting off the cold R. has / had, so I’m tryingt o keep up with sleep to avoid really getting sick, especially since I’m going to a concert tomorrow night with T.
I read the _Tea Set Match_ by Casey Blair. It was a pretty natural progression from the first book in the tea princess series. It is very much what it is, so if you read the sample and don’t care for the tone, you probably won’t like it. But if you do like the tone, the beginning is representative. It’s very relaxing to read.
