I got up to get A.’s breakfast and lunch. R. took the i4 to the dealer for inspection and sticker. Weird to have a car for a year and _literally_ this is the only thing we did for it. (Is that true? Did I really not even get winter tires for it?). T. brought A. to school again. Yay!

I never did go back to bed, because it was going to get over 90 and I wanted to get a walk in while it was still in the low 70s. I worked on the lego ninjago set I’ve been in the middle of for months. I placed an order for Still More Lego. I listened to podcasts.

I had a delightful long phone call with J.

I spent a bunch of time trying to figure out what J. might have read in a business textbook in the early-mid 1980s about Pizza Hut and restructuring. I learned a ton about franchising, Pizza Hut, Pepsico and the Republican Party, but did not get to the specific things I was interested in. I may eventually put together a summary post about interesting tidbits I learned along the way, but I want to go sleep so not right now.

R. retrieved A., and then they played some Unravel 2 puzzle levels and there was screaming. We discussed what happened. I got A. some dinner. I got her through picking tomorrow’s outfit and doing her homework. R. fixed the broken strap on her lunch box.

A. likes the new sheets I bought for her which arrived yesterday, and which I washed and put on her bed. My new ones are also clean, but I have not stripped and made my bed.

The piano was tuned today — fun to talk to M. Also, oatmeal was delivered. Yay! More granola can happen! And cookies!

I did not get around to reading a book today, which is a little bit of a bummer, but I’ve been reading a lot lately so I cannot really complain too much. I did finish reading a magazine (a Disney Files) and recycled it, so there’s that. I’m also getting some of the random things off the stairs and the dining table, so that’s good.

ETA: I see that I did not do a daily activities post for yesterday (Tuesday). Our new induction range with the two ovens under was delivered and installed. I made cornbread (a recipe over at the Spruce that included corn kernels — I used fresh — and white flour along with cornmeal. I used some of the cornmeal from the farm share that was in the freezer) after letting some of the whatever it is burn off in the top oven. The burners don’t heat up the kitchen at all, and the small oven doesn’t heat it up much, either. This is so awesome. We really should get around to doing the heatpumps to replace the AC and furnaces. Of course, that will make everything really bad in the event of a power outage, but the improvement in indoor air quality really ought to be incredible.

I also had a great phone call with K., altho wow things are NOT going well at the company she works for.
